My creative background gives me a superb foundation for the services I now provide. Following School I spent 2 years studying motor mechanics. I found the theory and engineering side fascinating and continued to complete the course, but decided it wasn’t the career path I wanted to take. Fortunately much of what I learnt has been transferable as I'm able to apply it to the things I do now, enforcing logical processes.
I decided to explore my creative side by completing a 2 year Art and Design course, this covered all areas of the arts (drawing, graphic design, photography, product design and fashion) after which I decided to specialise in product design.
Next I successfully completed a 3 year BA Honours degree in product design at the University of Hertfordshire and graduated. During the course I learnt how to create technical drawings, computer generated 3D visuals and illustrations, I also observed that if something works to the best of its ability it will also look good.
On the completion of the course I secured a permanent job as a Junior Artworker at a graphic design and exhibition company. I introduced my ability to create technical drawings and 3D visuals and was soon involved in the exhibition side of the business, producing the technical drawings for the constructors to build from and the 3D visuals for the clients to sign off. I was also creating 3D illustrations for areas other than exhibition and compositing visuals in Photoshop. I was promoted to Senior Artworker, 3D Visualiser and Re-toucher/Compositor and enjoyed in total 13 years employment with the company. After this time the company ceased to trade.
Now I'm freelancing and using my accumulated knowledge to help you bring your ideas and requirements to reality. I'm always actively broadening my skill set and advancing my technology. If you would like more information about my background please visit my linked in page.
